I found this via Projectionist.It's shaped like the periodic table of the chemical elements, but shows various visualisation methods used to represent information. Hovering over any element's square pops up an example of the corresponding visualisation technique.
The Visual Literacy project looks to be quite interesting, if just a little sparse at present.
