I just spent almost two hours chatting with my closest friend, Jeannine, who is currently in Oxford, via Skype. Is the internet not the most wonderful thing?!
During our conversation, Jeannine mentioned that she was reading A Confederacy of Dunces, for which the author, John Kennedy Toole won the 1981 Pulitzer, posthumously.
I won't go into details here, because the linked Wikipedia entry provides more than I could ever be bothered to type.
Suffice it to say, this sounds like a wonderful book!
