Happy 100th, Broadcast Radio !!

According to this article, the first ever AM radio broadcast intended to entertain listeners was made 100 years ago today, by Reginald Fessenden.

It was directed to a number of ships in the Atlantic Ocean and contained live music, some readings and phonograph records.

Now that Brenda is podcasting, maybe she could just pop in a statement of congratulations, rather than sending off a telegram.

Podcasting Monarchs

Apparently, the Queen ... you know, the one in England ... will be podcasting her Bah Humbug address this year.

Well, I guess what that really means is that a member of her staff will be recording it and posting it somewhere.

Somehow, I doubt Her Majesty is au fait with the intricacies of digital mixing and RSS feeds :-).
