The Joy Of Youth

Can you remember back to your early childhood and how mind-numbingly boring it was to sit at the bus-stop, waiting for a bus you felt would never come?

At Railway Square this evening, I saw a little girl, maybe five or six years old, who had managed to find a way to pass the time.

The seats there are curved, like a section lengthways through a cylinder of fairly large radius. When sitting on this seat, her feet were about 20cm from the ground. So, she was able to slide her little bum down the curvature of the seat as though it was a tiny slippery dip.

She just did this over and over. From the laughter, I deduced that this amused her no end ... which amused me. A nice way to end the day :-) !!
